NiceHCK Rockies- budget endgame

Totally unexpected ENDGAME potential

This is the NiceHCK Rockies. Borrowed the set from Mark Super Reviews.

As you can see, it follows the same curve as the Hisenior Mega5EST

Although they share 98% of that tuning. The Rockies seem to have that proper "EST" sound. Not sure if they really share 100% of the drivers, but the Rockies seem to find the sweet spot in matching the drivers..

I daresay people can endgame this. If the tonality is in your ballpark..This is TOTL sound and you don't even have to spend TOTL price..

The tonality is balanced with some emphasis in the treble energy. It can be bright depending on what eartips you use, but they are never fatiguing, at least for me.

Technicalities is what really surprised me. Resolution is up there with TOTLs. Detail retrieval is great for the price. 3D staging, instrument separation and imaging is top notch.

The bass could use a little bit of midbass though. I feel like it's just there in the background.

PROS

- great resolution and techs for the price

- mids are very captivating

- treble timbre is perfect and no unnatural timbre to cymbals

CONS

- may not be for bassheads

- bass lacks a bit of midbass for added dimension

- fit could be better

I do think that the Rockies is worth checking. In my ranking, it sits in the same level as IEMS price around $1,000 or even more.  This is great value if you are looking for endgame sound.
