The Best balanced sound?

This time it's the Odyssey 2 in collaboration with Hangout Audio.

Just a disclaimer. The Odyssey 1  sample O have graphs really close to the Odyssey 2. Which means, I kind of expected how it would sound. Look at the graph.

Anyhow, there are key differences with this release. First one is the price. It is now $20 more expensive haha.  Well, you now have a different cable color way, and a metal shell.  It feels sturdier, better fit(for me at least),  and supposedly an all rounder in terms of sound.

So how do they sound like? Well they reduced the treble of the Odyssey, and that's it. At least with the both samples I have. It still has that Odyssey DNA, but I feel like the subbass is more prominent and is easily felt. Mids remain natural and organic and treble is way more easier to listen to. They are far from dark sounding to be honest. Just a natural decaying treble.

So it's really up to you. Of you feel like you want a balanced sound with a bit of emphasis in the treble, go for the original Odyssey. 

If you want  a a balanced sound with some emphasis in warmth and subbass,then the Odyssey 2 is a great pick.

Pros

- natural sound from bass to treble

- non fatiguing treble

- better build

Cons

- treble might need a bit of sparkle 

- techs could do a bit better especially detail retrieval
